In the supply shop at the Art and Soul Retreat noticed these Gelli Plates and wondered how they're used. I found out that gelatin has been used for printmaking for some time and the creative people at Gelli Arts developed a non-perishable gelatin plate. Well since then I've seen them all over blogland and watched Jane Davies video which showed some uses for creating collage papers. So I ordered one and tried it out asap. What I've discovered is a fun way to work and create one-of-a-kind monoprint images that is very spontaneous. You never quite know what images will emerge. These are a few of my first attempts using masking. I like them so much I've posted them in my Etsy and Society6 shops. Look for more of these prints to turn up on their own and incorporated into new mixed media work.
