Hello, and welcome! I want to bring your words to life!

A proud Jayhawk, I received a BFA degree in Graphic Design from the University of Kansas and was recruited by the Lettering Department at Hallmark Cards. There I learned as much as or more than I did in college, from a group of very talented artists, designers and art directors. After three years in Lettering, I moved to Shoebox Greetings, and then began a freelance career. I have been successful as a freelancer for over 25 years and I've worked for some great companies. All these years later and the primary focus of my work is still designing stationery, but I also do surface design as well as gift items.

I love lots of color, great type and enjoy experimenting with different artistic mediums and techniques. But, somehow I always come back to letters and typography. I've continued to hone my lettering skills over the years and enjoy modern calligraphy, brush lettering and drawing letters. My favorite tools are my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, along with my MacBook Pro and iMac computers. I also use liquid watercolors and Pental Aquash water brushes for lettering on watercolor paper.

I live and work in a suburb of Kansas City with my always supportive husband, Boyd. I am the proud mom of two wonderful daughters and a son-in-law, and I became a 'Savta' (grandmother) to the sweetest little granddaughter, Amelia, in July 2015.
